I can't say enough good things about Michael and Anthony. At the outset, you can immediately see that they are an excellent DJ duo with years of experience and a wide range of music knowledge. They are flexible, accommodating, and they bring a contagious, welcoming energy to their craft. Best of all, they seamlessly blended our requested songs with a variety of songs from different genres and eras to curate an awesome playlist that brought a diverse crowd onto the dance floor. Our guests were complimenting the music all night. Anyone who is lucky (and smart) enough to book FUNKTIONDJ for their wedding or event is in great hands!

DJ Vitale and I grew up in the same neighborhood and has DJ'd many events for me - Vitale is the most trusted DJ I know (and I have worked with many!) so, when it came time for my own wedding, it was a no-brainer - I booked Vitale before my photographer, make-up, and dress :-) He is the best DJ to read a crowd, he understands music and knows how to create the mood that you want to achieve for your event. Michael was an awesome EMCEE, was engaging, on-point with all of the introductions. AND they also designed and produced all of our lighting - I couldn't have asked for a better team or experience, my guests are still talking about the DJ over a year later!

Hands down best dj. Mike has been around a long long time, servicing all different types of venues. I use to go to parties being thrown just because I knew he was spinning and I KNEW we were going to have a great time. Once my husband and I got engaged, we both said Mike is our DJ. We actually moved our wedding date because our original date was not available and we didn't want anyone else. If there's one thing I can say he knows how to work a crowd and get everyone up dancing and feeling good. He really made our wedding very special. The dance floor was packed the entire night and even at the end our guests kept screaming, "one more song! One more song!" Unbelievable night thanks to an unbelievable DJ.

The best of the best!!! From the initial meeting with Mike and Anthony we knew they were fit for our wedding. Our two main concerns from attending many other weddings was that we wanted no downtime with the music and for the dance floor to stay crowded throughout the night. They were able to make that happen as they played music from every era. The dance floor looked like a nightclub from the 1st dance to the after hours. Mike and Anthony also helped design the room with the lighting and setup a stage so that they were able to perform above the crowd. Six months later my guests still mention how that was the best music ever played at a wedding. My wife and I highly recommend them to anyone having a party as you will not be disappointed.

Mike and Javier are the greatest duo on the market, I literally made sure the venue I picked worked with his schedule. At the end of the day all that matters is the food and the music.. and when Mike starts spinning and Javier begins on the percussion, the music surpasses anything else. I wanted my wedding to be one big dance party and Mike knows how to keep everyone on the floor all night long. My husband and I booked him, 6 of our friends have booked him, and I danced my ass of every time! Mike's a veteran, he's the one vendor I booked that I didn't stress over. With him you always feel like you're in good hands. BOOK HIM! It will be the best decision you make.

These guys made the party! We got married in September at the Hempstead House at the Sands Point Preserve and they rocked it. For months after our wedding I was getting compliments from everyone who was in attendance. They played music for every age group and the dance floor was filled the entire night. The energy level was amazing and the add on drummer was incredible. You need to book these guys for your next event. You will NOT be disappointed I guarantee it. I have been to many many weddings in my day but mine I have to say was the best haha

My husband and I got married June 2017 at El Caribe in Brooklyn. Mike Gentile had DJ’d my best friend and cousins wedding years before that. I remember saying that the day I got married Mike would be my DJ. When the time came I went straight to him and he didn’t let me down. From the music, the lights, the CO2 tanks, the tv screens and even the robot my husband requested, MIKE DELIVERED! We danced all night long and we had the best time. His professionalism didn’t go unnoticed. We had a great experience with Funktion DJ.

With a BIG thanks to Mike and the Funktion team, we had the most incredible wedding reception/party! They truly rocked the music from beginning to end. We added on drums and saxophone to our package which really emphasized the liveliness of the sound and made dancing even more fun. As an MC, Mike knew just how to handle our massive crowd of 340 people, he pleased the moms, the dads and of course blew us, (the bride and groom), away! During our pre wedding consultation, Mike attentively listened to our requests and made suggestions that were just perfect. We would highly recommend Funktion for any event. Our guests danced the entire night! Almost a year later, we still hear about how much fun the party was and how great the music was. My husband and i eloped in antigua and decided to have a wedding reception/ party once we returned. Well! Boy did funktion make it a great party!!! My husband and i as well as all of our guests did not want the wedding to end!!! They played the best music both what we requested and a little mix of their own and we danced the night away! 6 years ago, my now husband and I met Mike as he was DJing the wedding of my best friend and immediately after the wedding we turned to each other and said "If we get married, he is our DJ". Our group of friends all felt the same way and every single one of them has had Mike as their DJ for weddings since we met him that day. He is by far the absolute best and my guests are still talking about how amazing he was. He listened to all of our questions and reassured me when I was a little tense as it got closer to the big day that everything would be perfect. At one point he turned to me and said "trust me- I got this" and I did and he did. Mike- thank you to you and the team for the best night of our lives! If anyone is looking for a DJ- look no further! Mike is amazing! So easy to work with, I told him the kind of music we like and he knew exactly what to play! I never sat down, me and my enjoyed every moment on the dance floor! All our guest raved about how great the music was and how much fun they had dancing. Wish I can throw another party just to hire him again!

I am so happy that I chose Funktiondj for my special day. Everything was seamless, including the timing of he night! There was not a person that did not dance the night away. Every person that attended our wedding raved about the music. Mike did an amazing job reading the crowd, it was not even necessary for me to fill out the music preference sheet. He made sure there was something that was played for everyone. My husband and I added a bongo player as well a saxophonist (both were Mike's reccomendations) which were the perfect touch. If I had to do it all over again I would choose Funktiondj all over again. So pleased with the professionalism and fabulous job that Funktiondj did.

Truly the BEST wedding djs ever! Mike Gentile and the whole funktiondj team we’re really amazing and made our wedding the most unbelievable time. Mike adhered to all our needs and wants. When I pictured my wedding I pictured having a band. But then I went to friend’s wedding where Mike was DJing and seriously had the most amazing time. When we were determining our wedding date, we didn’t confirm with the place until we knew Mike was available. Mike made my wedding so much fun. He just knows how to get the crowd going.

Hands down the best part of my reception was funktion dj! I got married in 2015 and to this day...no joke my family and friends still come up to me and tell me how amazing the music was. I can honestly say when i was booking all my vendors I was confident in who I went with,but when my wedding day came I,unfortunately can say I was alittle disappointed in some on my vendors. But the best decision was having funktion DJ. Ross Pitta and his crew were professional, played amazing music, and Ross got the crowd going. Ross coordinated everything-including Javier the percussionist. During the reception I had a photo montage with so many pictures, but Ross did it so tastefully that it wasnt overwhelming and obnoxious to our guests.When it came to selection of music i had some request that I wanted and Ross put those song selections but really put together an AMAZING mix of music. Really just exceeded all of my expectantions and my husbands. So if your looking for a DJ company that is not your typical wedding DJ...you all probably know what DJ companies come to mind then go with funktiondj. Truly the best! Kristen

We got married on a beautiful day in late August. Everyone came to party that night and Mike played the perfect soundtrack to the night. One of the things we heard after the wedding from our guests is how good and unique the music was. Highly recommend!

Mike Gentile DJ’d at our wedding in the summer of 2015. He, along with his recommended percussionist, really made our day spectacular. Let’s just say we all danced until the last minute!!! Two things that make or break a wedding are the music and food. We lucked out in both departments. If we ever renew our vows or have another special event, Mike will be our go-to guy! Thanks a million. You’re truly the best at what you do!!!

I knew from the minute I got engaged that Funktion DJ had to DJ my wedding. As soon as we sat down with Ross I knew everyone would be up dancing. I asked for non stop music for the entire night. We gave him 4 songs that we wanted and told him what genres we liked. I put the rest in his hands and he did not disappoint. I cant thank Ross and the rest of Funktion DJ for their talent and professionalism. They give you a million options without being pushy. They are the best in the biz and they will not let you down. They make you feel like family and by the end of the night they are just that. We don't book our parties without them.

We used Mike for so many special events not only our wedding. We will not even think of having a party without making sure that Mike can be there with us. He is extremely professional and very easy to work with. He knows the right music and sets the atmosphere to make sure everyone in the room has the most amazing time. Hands down one of the best and most professional dealings I've ever had. Ross and Mike had my dance floor packed my entire wedding. Their rapport with the venues ensured everything went off seamlessly. They know the business and are willing to work with their customers to make it the best possible experience for the new couple and their guests. I have attended many weddings and parties, and the ones that I still remember as most fun and entertaining have been the ones by DJ Ross and DJ Mike. So it was a no brainer to ask Ross Pita to DJ my wedding. As expected, he was amazing and on point. I had a multi cultural wedding and I wanted international songs included in the set. Ross made everything so seamless and fun and perfectly timed that both my Italian and Armenian guests had the best time ever. I was so impressed at how seamlessly he hosted the evening. I should add that his deep knowledge of music and many years of experience, combined with this unwavering professionalism and love for what he does makes him the best in the business. In terms of pricing, Ross is fare and comparable, but in terms of talent and quality, he is incomparable to the norm and average. My friends have hired him for their own weddings after attending mine.
